Our manufacturing facility has just obtained global certificates (FSSC 22000 for TOMOTO and GRS for DICA and WW). This is strong evidence that our goal is to meet globally acceptable food safety standards, operating procedures, and environmental sustainability.
After approximately 2 years of intense work, TOMOTO attained the FSSC 22000 V5.1 certificate audited by Bureau Veritas in October 2022. FSSC 22000 is an internationally recognized food safety management system built on ISO standards, which helps us confirm that we have effective programs and procedures to manufacture the packaging systems that are required and meet customers’ expectations. Successfully acquiring the FSSC certification has been made possible by an extensive audit and verification process of our factory and company’s supply chain, as well as our control effectiveness.
Aware of the negative effects of plastic waste on the environment, we cooperate with our customers to advocate for recyclable packaging. It is attained through an extremely precise selection and strict control of the raw materials, in line with the guidelines of the Global Recycle Standard (GRS). The tedious work of our whole team is to obtain GRS in October 2022 and November 2023 for DICA and WW, respectively. In addition to the infrastructure finalization, there were no stops in the improvement and modification of our internal management system to obtain the traceable procedure that can guarantee compliance with GRS.
These certifications are some of the leading signs that indicate our vision to provide value in food safety assurance and social responsibility in the packaging that goes into the food, beverage, and consumer products industries. We will be concentrating on reinforcing the well-established aspects of quality, safety, and sustainability to create a very solid foundation.
